The Jackson County Port Authority will soon welcome a new Port Director. Due to the retirement of Mark McAndrews on June 30, 2023 after 22 years at the helm of the Port, the Board of Commissioners has selected Bo Ethridge as the Port Director beginning May 1, 2023.
Mr. Ethridge has extensive knowledge of the maritime industry and Gulf Coast region, having previously held the positions of the Director of Business Development & Foreign Trade Zone No. 2 for the Port of New Orleans and the Port Director of the Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission.
Mr. Ethridge commented “I am honored to have been selected by the Jackson County Port Authority Board of Commissioners. The Port of Pascagoula has a long-standing reputation as a world-class, multi-use industrial port. With the support of the talented staff and the vision of the dedicated Board, I will do my best to fulfill the Port’s mission of encouraging and supporting industrial and private industry in Jackson County.”
Mr. Ethridge, along with his wife Leah and their three boys, will reside in Jackson County.
